Hallock MN - 750ml Bottle - 47% ABV Aged in Minnesota-made oak barrels for 18 months Bødalen is named for an idyllic Norwegian valley on the edge of a massive glacier. Tasting Notes: Nose offers aromas of toffee, sweet corn and orange zest. The entry is both peppery and vegetal, with a woodsy depth. The finish is surprisingly long, rich and persistent with notes of bitter chocolate and brown sugar. Mash: 60% heirloom corn, 30% Hazlet rye and 10% malt barley.

Chicago Distilling Co.'s single malt line is based on the premise of applying mash bills that would be traditional to Belgian style beers to single malt whiskeys.

Using their background as farmers they are pioneering what they call 'seed to spirit' choosing the grains that will go into their spirits from the very beginning of their lifecycle. St. Louis Park, MN - 750ml Bottle - 43% ABV Made from 100% MN sourced pale ale and chocolate malt, first barreled in Minnesota-made American white oak barrels and finished on a selection of red wine barrels to give softness, depth, and a delicate nature to this spirit. This single malt whiskey hones in on flavors of deep fruit, chocolate, toffee, and caramel notes. No coloring added. Non-chilled filtered.

Dane WI - 750ml Bottle - 57.5% ABV From the distillery: Every autumn in Gascony, France local farmers observe the successful grape harvest and the start of the Armagnac distilling season with ‘La Flamme de l’Armanac’ celebration. La Flamme Reserve honors traditional French blending techniques and marries the flavors of the Armagnac region of France to our Wisconsin Straight Bourbon. We hand pick very select barrels to blend using a French Armagnac process and then finish for 8 months in Armagnac casks imported from France. Armagnac is distilled with the future in mind, as an investment in what is to come. We take the same approach by slowly aging our bourbons and finishing in these generations-old casks for a complex and unique flavor. Reward yourself with this celebration of the harvest. Distilled with a proprietary blend of seven herbs and spices, its foundation comes from the ‘(un)holy trinity’ of absinthe botanicals — wormwood, fennel, and anise — while secondary ingredients such as angelica root and green cardamom pods provide supporting layers of complexity.

Washington DC - 750ml Bottle - 25% ABV From the distillery: History tells us that Roman gladiators flavored their food with Finocchietto, believing it to be a source of strength. Washington DC - 750ml Bottle - 20% ABV From the distillery: One hundred twenty years have passed since this recipe was last in production. “Donna Rosa” has risen to take its place in our aperitivi collection. 750ml bottle - Broklyn, NY - 35% ABV From the producer: This amaro is a bittersweet distillation of 18 alpine botanicals, including cinchona, rhubarb root, spruce buds, elecampane root, and eucalyptus. They rest in non-GMO neutral grain spirit for two and a half weeks, are strained, and proofed down to 40% abv. They’re aged in Bourbon barrels in a two-stage Solera system that averages one year in age come bottling. It’s sweetened with a blend of organic dark clover honey and organic cane sugar and bottled. Delicious neat with lemon peel and equally enticing in a Saw Tooth cocktail.

Brooklyn, NY - 750ml Bottle - 22% ABV From the distillery: This amaro is named after my grandmother, Lena Pianta. She loved southern Italian spirits and we think this one would’ve made her bar cart. A blend of 13 botanicals including gentian, rhubarb root, fennel seed, and sweet and bitter orange rest for 3 weeks in non-GMO neutral grain spirit. The mixture is proofed down to 40% abv and barrel aged in used whiskey barrels for a minimum of 3 months. When we feel it’s ready to go, we filter it from the barrels and sweeten it with organic cane sugar as well as organic caramel color. We add further fresh orange peel and let that sit for another several days. It’s strained again and bottled. We love it on the rocks with an orange peel but it shines in a Paper Plane cocktail.

750ml bottle - Brooklyn, NY - 25% ABV From the producer: Our love for all things bitter naturally led us to highlight the artichoke in all its glory. Our Carciofo is made from a blend of 19 herbs and botanicals with neutral grain spirit from Buffalo, NY. We take fresh artichokes from the Central Valley in California and macerate them for 10 days alongside warm spices like cinnamon, allspice, and dandelion root. Lemon peel and bay leaf round out the blend that’s sweetened with organic cane sugar.

750ml bottle - Brooklyn, NY - 45% ABV From the producer: Centerbe Faccia Brutto is our take on a European herbal liqueur that is both refreshing and delicious. We use a number of fresh and dried herbs in our blend and macerate them in non-GMO neutral grain spirit. The dried botanicals like lemon balm, anise hyssop, nettles and coriander are macerated for a full week, while the fresh herbs like parsley, tarragon, bay leaves and marjoram are left overnight to preserve color and freshness. The resulting tincture is proofed down and sweetened with organic cane sugar and bottled at a rousing 45% abv.

Brooklyn, NY - 750ml Bottle - 35% ABV From the distillery: Fernet Pianta is a love letter to both my grandfather, Peter Pianta, as well as all the line cooks I ever worked with. Pete would make tinctures for my grandmother when she needed some digestive aid and my line cook buddies, well, we needed relief after a long night of service. We blend 21 ingredients including saffron, myrrh, aloe ferox, peppermint, and gentian root in non-GMO neutral grain spirit for two weeks. We add water and filter, then add sugar and organic peppermint oil and bottle. This fernet has far less sugar than the bigger brands and is naturally colored with roasted chicory root. Enjoy neat or in a Toronto cocktail.

Rated 92 points by the esteemed Ultimate Spirits Challenge, Caffè Amaro is a collaborative spirit with Kansas City-based coffee roasters, Thou Mayest, who selects a single-origin coffee roast that we utilize to contribute to the flavors the botanicals generate. 375ml bottle - Chicago - 63% ABV Letherbee’s Barrel-Aged Absinthe draws its caramel hue from a six-month stint in new, full-sized, charred, American oak casks. A straightforward white absinthe recipe mellows in the aging process, softening the anise notes to let sumptuous floral and spice layers resonate. Besides the color, the full-sized barrels also imbue the Absinthe Brun with toasty hints of vanilla and caramel. Bottled at 126 proof, the spirit-forward drink is an addictive sipper that can also add depth to a variety of cocktails.

Greenport, NY - 750ml Bottle - 19% ABV From the distillery: Some aperitifs come together in this holistic way where its hard to pick out the various ingredients -- others allow their constituent parts to shine. Day Trip is the latter for me -- strawberry is front and center stage, with the woody and bitter flavors of the quassia quickly following up. Some green notes from the nettle, perfume notes from the florals. it represents, to me, a drive through the North Fork, past the vineyards and the fields of flowers and the peaceful waters punctuated with dramatic rock formations. Right before distillation, we peel fresh ruby red grapefruits by hand and add thinly cut peels, giving our gin its unique citrus flavor. The spirit is allowed to rest for several weeks after distillation so the flavors can fully develop and come together before bottling. Our gin is non-chill filtered and some cloudiness may appear at colder temperatures. This is caused by the essential oils from our selection of botanicals. We choose not to chill-filter as removing these oils would detract from the gin’s rich flavor and mouthfeel.

Waukegan, IL - 750ml Bottle - 45% ABV From the distillery: The Barrel Reserve Old Tom Gin is the first spirit in our Experiment Collection. We reimagined our standard gin by adding a smoke element and barrel aging. The grapefruit peel was smoked over pecan wood, giving a nice smokey candied pecan note to the gin. From here, the gin was aged for 3 to 5 months in a combination of new and used cooperage to give a nice round oak flavor without dominating the spirit. Lastly, we cold smoked maple and agave syrups to transform the gin into an old tom gin and punch up the smoke profile.

It is boisterous and friendly and just plain good in the glass right now, but will also emerge from a short nap in the cellar with an increased complexity of its more earthy, woodsy flavors.

This wine is an absolute joy to drink, brimming with fresh orchard fruit flavors. There is great energy in the glass, with a focused finish that is perfect for spring fare. Modales remains one of our favorite Michigan producers, and a great place to visit the next time you’re in Fennville. But what really makes us excited about this wine is that this gorgeous wine label was created by our own Rockford Wine Steward, Mikayla Brown!

750ml Bottle - Chicago - 40% ABV From the distillery: For our Cherry Brandy, we use a tart style of cherry commonly found in Michigan and Wisconsin. The cherries are smaller and less sweet than most of the varietals we think of when we purchase cherries from the grocery store. We work to make sure that the pits are extracted from all of the cherries so that there are no off or bitter flavors that transfer into the eau de vie. The pits are added back into the mash during the three week fermentation period, which helps to create a deep and rich spirit with lots of dimension.

Chicago - 750ml Bottle - 40% ABV sourced from local wineries, however the grapes are predominantly acquired from the west coast of the USA. We do not add sugar to the pomace — we simply add water to rehydrate before distilling, giving us a smooth, floral Grappa with a clean finish. Another way to think of this product is as pomace brandy. Pomace is everything left after winemaking: grape skins, meat, stems, and seeds.

Greenport, NY - 750ml Bottle - 19% ABV From the distillery: Some aperitifs come together in this holistic way where its hard to pick out the various ingredients -- others allow their constituent parts to shine. Day Trip is the latter for me -- strawberry is front and center stage, with the woody and bitter flavors of the quassia quickly following up. Some green notes from the nettle, perfume notes from the florals. it represents, to me, a drive through the North Fork, past the vineyards and the fields of flowers and the peaceful waters punctuated with dramatic rock formations. Day Trip is ushering in the warmer months and the summer celebrations that will soon crown the seasons Strawberry Queen.

Brooklyn, NY - 750ml Bottle - 22% ABV From the distillery: This amaro is named after my grandmother, Lena Pianta. She loved southern Italian spirits and we think this one would’ve made her bar cart. A blend of 13 botanicals including gentian, rhubarb root, fennel seed, and sweet and bitter orange rest for 3 weeks in non-GMO neutral grain spirit. The mixture is proofed down to 40% abv and barrel aged in used whiskey barrels for a minimum of 3 months. When we feel it’s ready to go, we filter it from the barrels and sweeten it with organic cane sugar as well as organic caramel color. We add further fresh orange peel and let that sit for another several days. It’s strained again and bottled. We love it on the rocks with an orange peel but it shines in a Paper Plane cocktail.

750ml bottle - Brooklyn, NY - 45% ABV From the producer: Centerbe Faccia Brutto is our take on a European herbal liqueur that is both refreshing and delicious. We use a number of fresh and dried herbs in our blend and macerate them in non-GMO neutral grain spirit. The dried botanicals like lemon balm, anise hyssop, nettles and coriander are macerated for a full week, while the fresh herbs like parsley, tarragon, bay leaves and marjoram are left overnight to preserve color and freshness. The resulting tincture is proofed down and sweetened with organic cane sugar and bottled at a rousing 45% abv.

750ml bottle - Brooklyn, NY - 25% ABV From the producer: Our love for all things bitter naturally led us to highlight the artichoke in all its glory. Our Carciofo is made from a blend of 19 herbs and botanicals with neutral grain spirit from Buffalo, NY. We take fresh artichokes from the Central Valley in California and macerate them for 10 days alongside warm spices like cinnamon, allspice, and dandelion root. Lemon peel and bay leaf round out the blend that’s sweetened with organic cane sugar.

They rest in non-GMO neutral grain spirit for two and a half weeks, are strained, and proofed down to 40% abv. They’re aged in Bourbon barrels in a two-stage Solera system that averages one year in age come bottling. It’s sweetened with a blend of organic dark clover honey and organic cane sugar and bottled. Delicious neat with lemon peel and equally enticing in a Saw Tooth cocktail.

The amaro is handcrafted by steeping botanicals in grain neutral spirits. Perfectly ripe Seville oranges are also added to provide a full flavor experience. Amaro Cinpatrazzo is then steeped with Stover's honey as a simple syrup, filtered, and bottled. While some commerically-made amaro is artificially colored, Amaro Cinpatrazzo is entirely natural. Beppe & the Architect ensures quality ingredients and avoids artifical flavoring, coloring, and preservatives to create an authetic experience for the palate. Greenport, NY - 750ml Bottle - 19% ABV From the distillery: Some aperitifs come together in this holistic way where its hard to pick out the various ingredients -- others allow their constituent parts to shine. Day Trip is the latter for me -- strawberry is front and center stage, with the woody and bitter flavors of the quassia quickly following up. Some green notes from the nettle, perfume notes from the florals. it represents, to me, a drive through the North Fork, past the vineyards and the fields of flowers and the peaceful waters punctuated with dramatic rock formations. Day Trip is ushering in the warmer months and the summer celebrations that will soon crown the seasons Strawberry Queen.

Brooklyn, NY - 750ml Bottle - 22% ABV From the distillery: This amaro is named after my grandmother, Lena Pianta. She loved southern Italian spirits and we think this one would’ve made her bar cart. A blend of 13 botanicals including gentian, rhubarb root, fennel seed, and sweet and bitter orange rest for 3 weeks in non-GMO neutral grain spirit. The mixture is proofed down to 40% abv and barrel aged in used whiskey barrels for a minimum of 3 months. When we feel it’s ready to go, we filter it from the barrels and sweeten it with organic cane sugar as well as organic caramel color. We add further fresh orange peel and let that sit for another several days. It’s strained again and bottled. We love it on the rocks with an orange peel but it shines in a Paper Plane cocktail.

750ml bottle - Brooklyn, NY - 45% ABV From the producer: Centerbe Faccia Brutto is our take on a European herbal liqueur that is both refreshing and delicious. We use a number of fresh and dried herbs in our blend and macerate them in non-GMO neutral grain spirit. The dried botanicals like lemon balm, anise hyssop, nettles and coriander are macerated for a full week, while the fresh herbs like parsley, tarragon, bay leaves and marjoram are left overnight to preserve color and freshness. The resulting tincture is proofed down and sweetened with organic cane sugar and bottled at a rousing 45% abv.

750ml bottle - Brooklyn, NY - 25% ABV From the producer: Our love for all things bitter naturally led us to highlight the artichoke in all its glory. Our Carciofo is made from a blend of 19 herbs and botanicals with neutral grain spirit from Buffalo, NY. We take fresh artichokes from the Central Valley in California and macerate them for 10 days alongside warm spices like cinnamon, allspice, and dandelion root. Lemon peel and bay leaf round out the blend that’s sweetened with organic cane sugar.

750ml bottle - Broklyn, NY - 35% ABV From the producer: This amaro is a bittersweet distillation of 18 alpine botanicals, including cinchona, rhubarb root, spruce buds, elecampane root, and eucalyptus. They rest in non-GMO neutral grain spirit for two and a half weeks, are strained, and proofed down to 40% abv. They’re aged in Bourbon barrels in a two-stage Solera system that averages one year in age come bottling. It’s sweetened with a blend of organic dark clover honey and organic cane sugar and bottled. Delicious neat with lemon peel and equally enticing in a Saw Tooth cocktail.

750ml bottle - Chicago - 21.5% ABV From the producer: Many of the 19 botanicals incorporated in Amaro Cinpatrazzo are sourced from farms and organic suppliers. The amaro is handcrafted by steeping botanicals in grain neutral spirits. Perfectly ripe Seville oranges are also added to provide a full flavor experience. Amaro Cinpatrazzo is then steeped with Stover's honey as a simple syrup, filtered, and bottled. While some commerically-made amaro is artificially colored, Amaro Cinpatrazzo is entirely natural. Beppe & the Architect ensures quality ingredients and avoids artifical flavoring, coloring, and preservatives to create an authetic experience for the palate. Hallock MN - 750ml Bottle - 43% ABV Ålander OH-lan-der is made in small batches from domestically sourced Demerara and Turbinado sugar. It is flavored with whole bean spices commonly found in Scandinavian baking. No artificial color or flavors are added. Tasting Notes: Showing a nose of allspice, nutmeg, clove and ginger snap cookies, Ålander is both complex and exceptionally focused, like angels dancing on the somewhat crowded head of a pin. It has background aromas of mocha, cardamom and butterscotch, that give way to root beer, vanilla and a touch of peppermint. The Black Dove (Paloma Negra), became one of Chavela’s most famous songs. It is the dramatized telling of a young woman who goes out partying all night and breaks the heart of the lovesick singer. They can be made anywhere and often reflect blends of local significance. The bubbles for Crémant are always made by yeast and not force carbonated. We ran the second fermentation in a closed tank. Once the yeast ate up the sugar we were left with a slightly dry, clean sparkling wine. This style produces a fruit forward sparkling wine similar to Prosecco. This wine is intended to drink young.

Aromas and flavors of lychee and pear, tapioca, white flowers, and green mango and pineapple with a round, vibrant, dryish medium body and a tingling, layered, medium-length finish with overtones of lychee, flowers, tart tropical fruits and melon, and ginger and pixie stix. Gewurztraminer dominates on the nose in a pleasant way and is balanced with Riesling acid and fruit on the palate with some of the Pinot Grigio; A lovely example of the sum being better than the individual parts without losing sense of each component.

The wine is purposely fermented in stainless steel, never seeing an oak barrel. This allows us to release the wine earlier and capture the fresh fruitiness of the Chardonnay grape. Slowly fermenting over the cold winter months, 'Sur Lie', adds subtlety, depth and complexity to the wine. Flavors of bright pear, golden apples, and creamy lemon curd.

The 2023 vintage has maintained our house style that started with the 2022 vintage. We fermented a portion in stainless steel with our favorite aromatic yeast strain & fermented 25% in neutral oak puncheons with native yeast to add body & complexity. We feel that this vintage is a homage to the true varietal expression of Sauvignon Blanc which shows of notes of mountain herbs, white peach, and has great minerality. The wine was rested on lees until an early bottling mid-November to preserve the fruit.

500ml bottle - Wisconsin - 5.9% ABV From the producer: There are other hopped ciders in America–nearly all of which try to be beers. We saw the availability of some new hops as an opportunity to create another cider with food-friendly complexity. Equinox is named for the Equinox hop that gives this cider green grassy and lightly citrus notes reminiscent of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Indeed, cider refreshment with wine complexity! Silver medal at the 2023 Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Contest.

500ml bottle - Wisconsin - 6.7% ABV From the producer: Tremlett’s is a blend of Geneva Tremlett’s Bitter – a tannic and tart (aka bittersharp) cider apple that lives up to its name, with the sweet and aromatic Priscilla apple. Cider connoisseurs immediately recognize that this cider is special. It is also a limited release–until, that is, we get more of this unusual yet fabulous bittersharp apple grafted, planted and bearing. This winter’s release while dry has more fruity and floral notes than past releases. Aromas are of pome fruits, apple skin, lemon and honeysuckle. On the palate, acid and tannins are well balanced, with flavors of green grape, apricot and subtle minerality. This is a great cider on its own, in cocktails or with lightly flavored dishes such as shrimp cocktail, oysters, poached white fish, and broiled chicken.
